As you know, there will be some changes to our schedule this year in response to the Veteran District’s new rules. Our board meetings are going to be moved to the 1^st Wednesday of the month, beginning in September 7^th. We will also be changing the location of the board meetings to the Dennys on Shaw and Willow avenues. (710 W Shaw, Clovis, CA 93612). We have reservations there for at least 12 people from 4:30 – 7:30 PM for the months of September and October. Yes, we are going to eat during the meetings so feel free to do so. They don’t yet have their calendar available for 2017, so I couldn’t set up for next year, but this gives us time to see how this works anyway.

We will continue to meet in the Veteran’s room for our general meetings in September and October because that is the room they have reserved for us and they have different groups scheduled in the Freedom Room. They have allowed us extra time on September 14^th to finish cleaning our stuff out of the closet in Veteran’s B so come prepared to take out stuff.

The Fall Art show has been moved to November and will be held at the Fresno Art Hub. The prospectus will be mailed out with the newsletter. I have notified the District that we will be releasing the dates in October that we had reserved for show.  Show dates : Receiving Nov 12 3:30—6:00 PM, Hang show on Monday, the 14^th, show to open on Tuesday, the 15^th, Reception/awards on Thursday Dec 1^st, Take down on Thursday, Dec 8^th

Old West Show: at present, plans are still to hold it at the Veteran’s District and set up in the lobby. Mandy is getting me the information needed for us to request the use of the lobby and I should be able to review and sign the contract for 2017 by October.

The yard sale is still on for Saturday, September 24^th.  Please bring any donated items to the September General Meeting. We will be announcing a workday for final pricing of donated items at that meeting.
