Those of us who came to the window gallery exchange in July got kind of a jolt. When security opened up the back door I was told that the mall had managed to rent the store and the new owners wanted to take possession the next morning! Fortunately, we did not have a lot of art to remove, so while I called artists to make sure they would pick up their art, Jackie, Alice and Mike took down art and dismantled Alice’s standards. In the rush to clear out the old Window Gallery we had to temporarily store Alice’s standards in the Art-Tique Storefront (1079 – directly across from our old window). And all for nothing because the mall security apparently got the wrong window! The following Tuesday, we put our art back up. So We do have a window gallery again. We will be rotating art on Wednesday, September 25, be there at 5 PM. We will also have the front door gate open so you can enter from the front also.
I would like to thank Sandy Gunn for stepping up as our Sunshine Chairman.
Don’t forget to start painting for the Fall Open show! See you at the meeting!
